When you eat something loaded with sugar, your taste buds, your gut and your brain all take notice. This activation of your reward system is not unlike how bodies process addictive substances such as alcohol or nicotine — an overload of sugar spikes dopamine levels and leaves you craving more. Nicole Avena explains why sweets and treats should be enjoyed in moderation.

  1. So, how can someone know what the body really needs at any moment? It would be a lot easier. The body lacks of this aliment and you eat it, and there'll be no mistakes such as overeating or eating the wrong food.

  2. Why we feel hungry and what sign did our body gives us when we are hungry apart from stomach creaking what happen to our blood hemoglobin level etc I want to know all the things ?

  3. I was born with extra senitice taste buds so basically if I eat 1 piece of suger it would feel like I ate 100 sweets or chocolate so I would feel sick so that's why I prefer more savoury and umami tastes also ESPECIALLY spicy (I love spicy food)
