The perfect treatment for diabetes and weight loss

Full video and many more with Dr. Fung:

What is the perfect treatment that can cure type 2 diabetes (!) and lead to effortless weight loss? Listen to the eloquent Dr. Jason Fung describe it in this 12-minute part of a longer interview.

*** Observe: This treatment is extremely effective. If you have diabetes and take blood sugar lowering medication (especially insulin injections) you may need to reduce the doses a lot to avoid potentially dangerous hypoglycemia. You may instantly become too healthy for your medication. ***

In the full 45 minute interview Dr. Fung goes into more detail about exactly how to add fasting to your low-carb diet, important things to consider and how to avoid potential problems.

  1. What About cutting down the fat intake so the insulin receptors can do their job properly while at the same time stopping the sugars in the bloodstream from turning into fat because it has no where else to go ?

Sugar is not the problem here, insulin resistance is.
No matter how small the quantity of sugar is, if it can't get to the cells then its has to go somewhere else.

The fasting part is real, because you stress your body which starts a bunch of process (usually cleaning trashes in the system). While you are eating your body fat reserve (food that already inside of you) the fat that block insulin from doing its job gets taking care of as well.

  3. Happy New Year Dr. Fung; I wish you and your family the best of health and happiness for 2019. Thank you for teaching us about our health. May the Lord bless you and your family always.

  4. What he says is so true but take it a step further and ask the question. Why doesn't the media tell everyone and the government tell everyone and the doctors tell everyone that they can reverse diabetes? Greed, money, control corruption, psychopathic corporations.

  5. Listen doctors KNOW diabetics have insulin resistance and they prescribe more insulin. They aren't stupid, it's criminal!!!! Parasites feeding off of repeat treatment for profit. Sick world
    We have.

  6. I am not a diabetic, but a friend of mine is. So I have a question: If someone is a type 2 diabetic, he/she has to be careful that the blood sugar doesn't go down too much; otherwise, it will cause a 'hypo'. How can a person avoid hypos whilst fasting? Can fasting be dangerous such people?

  7. This is not just a problem with diabetic patients. It's with all patients. IMO all symptoms are medicated but source of problem never addressed. The further I research, the more i understand the direct correlation of disease with nutrition, yet our doctors have very little training on this. Not fair to the patients or the doctors. Wheres the preventative health care practitioners?

  8. thank you for the answer to this , I wonder why it took 30 years for all these $mart people to come out with the answer, I wonder how many people died needlessly while they sat on their bags of money.

  9. I’m type 2 diabetic and day 3 into a water fast. My blood sugar hasn’t dropped at all. In fact, it is slightly higher than when I started. Any idea what’s going on?
