Paleo vs Keto: What’s the Difference?

Wondering what the difference is between the Paleo Diet and the Ketogenic Diet?

Paleo vs Keto Diet: What’s the difference?

I wrote a blog about it that goes into full detail, but take a listen to this video if you’d like to get started soon.

Paleo vs Keto is not as much a competition as to which is better, but more of a decision of which diet is best for the goals you are setting for yourself.

Do you want and need to lose a lot of weight? Maybe the Ketogenic Diet is better.

Do you want to lose 20 pounds? Maybe the Paleo Diet is better for you in that case.

I’d love to hear your feedback in the comments below.

  1. What is with the 3 likes? EXXXXXXXX-CELLENT, EXCELLENT VIDEO! So clear and detailed, layman's terms, professional, great sound quality, etc.. etc.. etc. Really…. Thanks for this. It was exactly what I was looking for when I searched.

  2. Losing weight is a "side effect" on a ketogenic diet, which isn't a priority in my case, but man when you're on a ketogenic diet (if you done it right) you feel so good! No mood swings, no food cravings, no dizziness, no mind fogs, no headache throughout the day and especially when you wake up, you sleep like a baby! You feel energetic and focused even if you consume a single meal per day!! The benefits are countless, no side effects whatsoever, I'm not keto-religious, but I shunned carbs for good, I won't go back to what I used to do since my childhood till my adulthood, never in a million years!! I just feel so so so so good!!

  3. I tried it for a week and a half. By the end I had a fast heartbeat when I reached the top of the stairs, dizzy, tired. However listening to this video I wonder if I shouldn't have exercised.

  4. Is there a really good macro calculator out there for keto? I've had success before but I think a lot of it was because I have so much to loose and I wasn't tracking calories or macros so much as only eating steak, raw broccoli, eggs, real cheese, and chicken for every meal. I was also eating 6 times a day in smaller portions, I've not found anything definitive on meal spacing though, do you have any insight on that as well? Thanks in advance.

  5. You can eat strawberries and blueberries in moderation on Keto and keep within the macro's no problem. Anyone considering keto, you simply cant eat endless amounts of food especially fat and it's very easy to simply eat too much and stall or even put weight on. Initially track your macro's and calculate your BMR and look to eat on a reasonable calorie deficit and be patient

  6. I thought this video hit the mark "perfectly" and would give anyone that is interested in investigating this lifestyle a great source of information! I am glad to hear at the very end you made the comment of "lifestyle" and not "diet" regarding these 2 processes. I have been on the Keto process now for 1 month and yet is was difficult but now it's very easy and yes my plan is too migrate from the Keto to Paleo meal plan once I have hit my goals ! I'm now have subscribed to your video and your FB page….thanks again for the great overview !!

  7. Very good intro to Keto. I've been struggling with heartburn and found out recently that carbs are a trigger. Seems like if I limit my intake to 50g a day, I significantly lessen my symptoms… The issue then becomes getting enough fat to make up for the lack of carbs. Knowing about the 75% macro in Keto gives me some idea of what I need, even if it's not that extreme. 🙂 Thank you! (Also, bananas… never again, lol)

  8. That 70% fat figure for the ketogenic diet has been abandoned by most. That high fat content is only necessary if the diet is being used to treat epilepsy. The only thing that is important for ketogenic weight loss is the restriction of carbohydrates.

  9. People would respect you more if you want to use words like shit and works like fucking in your commentary it's not necessary I won't be watching you anymore I need information not things that aren't believe that when there's grandchildren in the room and people would respect you more

  10. Why on earth are there 7 thumbs down?!?! i really think the vegans (or whoever) automatically see the word Keto or Paleo and press dislike. i have lost over 60lbs on Keto. 28lbs to go 🤘

  11. When we talk about carbs we must remember this about fiber: that whether it's soluble or insoluble, fiber is actually a carbohydrate that the body is unable to digest. We pass fiber like the water that flushes our systems, and anyone out to make themselves better is ultimately not looking for a "diet" of any sort, but a personal "regimen" that will work best for them. Diets and fads are more like guidelines for different proposed lifestyles, but you have to look and see where they lead. Cheers

  12. i have been keto for a month and i have only lost 3 pounds! what's going on? i also have high cholesterol and i am feeling a pain in the liver area. am i doing too much cheese, which i have at every meal? i am also craving sweet things to eat. am i doing this right?

  13. Best explanation of the difference between Paleo and Keto I have ever heard, and I have been looking. I am a 60 year old female and want to transition from Keto to Paleo, because I only need to lose about 15 to 20 more lbs. Can you recommend what my macros should be on Paleo? Thanks
