Dr. Eric Berg explains whether or not you should eat organ meats. The answer is “yes”, but only the highest quality and grass-fed ones. Animal organs have a tremendous amount of vitamins and minerals, some even higher than sprouts and cruciferous vegetables which are known for their high quantities of vitamins and mineral contents.

Organ meats are also great for dogs and Dr. Eric Berg explains how dog food can be mostly grains and not be what your dog needs and wants in a meal.

  1. there is none at our farmers market or the one buther shop they have all gmo. i have no car i dont know where to get to any farms. things are marked no gmo , organic, grassfed but when y read the ingredients they are fed on grains, cor soy but marked organic no gmo and i am very poor i am not trying to lose wait, just trying to get healthy, i have severe fibrmaigia and throid dosent work with thyroid i know i must haveliver issues i am going for tests and that is the only reason i have not started cofee enemias. my primary always says . oh never do that.! its frustrating i want to get my health back but itsike its too expensive for certain people to get the types of foods vitamins etc to do rhat and not to have an answer from y is upsetting to me.

  2. I take a 1/4 teaspoon twice every day, of Argentine Grass fed Desiccated Beef Liver Powder Very good stuff, very energizing, that and Earthing /Grounding sleeping while grounded for a deep sleep is a Excellent Combination for taking your health to a very High level. Especially if you have trouble either getting to sleep or staying a sleep Grounding is the Key to Sleep, DEEP SLEEP, and Body repair along with Beef liver Powder, is Unbelievably Potent at repairing the body, even a damaged one.

  3. I've had all of these except brain. I've done alot of different recipes for liver, my favorite these days is liver tacos. Also, beef liver is for most people the worst-tasting (I like it though). If you hate the 'livery' taste try to get pork or chicken livers.

Kidneys taste kinda like sausage to me.

Heart just reminds me of a pot roast when you cook it in the slow-cooker with vegetables and seasonings.

  4. I dont know about brains, I'm not trying to get protein prions. Liver on the other hand is divine. Chicken liver fried in duck fat may be one of the tastiest things imaginable. Mixing it into other meats like a burger is a great idea if you dont care for the bold taste of liver. I mix in minced liver into my chicken noodle soup stock. It gives it such a deep and rich flavor profile.

  5. I love organ meat. We grew up eating them and I’ve never stopped – brains, livers, hearts, kidneys, sweetbreads, intestines – so delicious and leave me feeling energized and satisfied.

  6. Let me share something with you. My dog MoFo was an approximate 5 month old wild stray that walked up to me in the middle of the night at a truck stop, sat down, put his chin on my leg and looked up at me with those eyes. Get the picture?

He was very sick and starving, I didn't think he'd make it through the night. I've learned what he likes and don't. For instance, he'll drink fresh rain water from a downspout before he drinks anything else and he turns his nose up at fast foods. He was a staving little feral!

I used to think that he was just picky but the little guy (75 lbs) seems to know whats up. He "loves" beef liver from the pressure cooker!! MoFo just seems to know what food is good or not. I think we're going to try the Liverwurst that you suggested in another video. Thanks for the videos! He's 7 years old now and I wont take less than 10 more … I'm 56. Yes, he's my best friend.

  7. My dog is on a totally raw diet. He eats whole chickens, bones, meat, and organs. I buy him beef, beef hear and beef liver as well when I can find it. He's going on 3 years now and has been eating this way since a puppy. He's got ZERO plaque build up from all the bones, and the ONLY treat he gets are bully sticks. He doesn't eat dog food because it's loaded with either grains or the grain free has other starchy flours in place of the grains. Dogs are not designed to eat pea flour, corn flour, wheat flour, etc… They are meat eaters. You dog will never be so healthy as my pup unless they are fed raw meats. Also, Vet tried to tell me they will die from salmonella overabundance. Well 3 years he's never had a problem from any raw chicken I buy. Vets are out of touch with reality these days. Animals in the wild eat other animals. They don't get sick and die from bacteria like humans do.

  8. Beef heart tastes almost just like steak. It's buttery and tender with just cooking it in a bit of fat like butter or beef tallow, and a sprinkle of salt. Only thing that tastes gross is the liver. The metallic taste it has, sorry, just can't eat it. I would have to disguise the liver too lol. Sausage is a good way to do this, with HEAVY seasoning lol.
