  1. Hi Emily! Great video as always.
One question what positions do you choose ? I have a 6 month old who refuses to be at one place while nursing.. it’s getting harder day by day:/

  2. Rally helpful video, sometimes we just need to have confidence that we are doing the right thing for our babies and not listen to the pressure other people put us under! Thank you for making this video 😊

  3. I just stopped and my baby is 8 months but I have about one bottle a day of breastmilk from my freezer stash. I wanted to go longer but I lost production. The W.H.O. and C.D.C. says up to 2 years for immune support. Babies under 2 who are breastfed have less disease and death. Definitely the way to go if possible. Thank you for this

  4. Great video 👍🏻 and im sorry people can be negative about breastfeeding. It’s your right to do whatever works for you and your kids ❤️ (PS: according to the religion of islam it’s recommended that mother breastfeeds until the baby is 2 years old. And i believe in that. I’ve seen family and friends breastfeed their babie for 2 years and more and those kids are grownups now and are the healthiest ) 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

  5. Thank you for normalising breastfeeding! I’m only 17 but this came up on my recommendations 😂 my Mum is a private home birth midwife and breastfeeding specialist and so I’m sure she would be so pleased to see women spreading the word on their platforms! Also my Mum says it should be called Full Term breastfeeding not extended! As the WHO recommends breastfeeding for two years! <3

  6. New mum to my 6 month old baby girl! here in spain you only get 4 months maternity so i had to return to work but only part time. I express at work. I fought for my breastfeeding journey as my girl had an undiagnosed tongue tie so it was amaxing from 9 weeks old. I cannot wait to get to a year breastfeeding. I love the bond and the connection with my daughter and i have even turned down my company holiday because i wont be away from her as she needs me 🙂

  7. Such a great video Emily! I am in love with breastfeeding. In ways I never thought I would: I love the bonding, convenience and that it's so good and comforting for baby Ambar. I've done it for 4,5 months now and I plan to do it for as long as she wants. In fact she's growing so well that I kinda feel proud that "I've done that". I do supplement with formula because… well it just works for me, and I hate pumping, so she will get about 4 bottles a week with daddy when I'm at work. Now I'm on holiday and it's sooooooo convenient. And production just picks up. If I could give a piece of advice to new mums: please stop
Worrying if you are producing enough. It is always enough if baby is gaining weight. Don't convince yourself otherwise or stress about it. Just trust your body. It knows what to do.

  8. Over a year isn't extended, surely? In many cultures children are breastfed up to aged 3. If the mother and child are both happy and healthy, what's the problem? Humans are weird. Feeding a child the one foodstuff that is designed specifically and only for them is seen as freaky, but feeding them the breast secretions of another species is normal??? Good for you, Emily. Your family is lovely x

  9. I had a difficult breastfeeding journey and i never produced enough for my baby girl. We had to supplement with goats milk. I still did it for 14 months. And then it jsut went away. I wish i had good supply and was able to breastfed her for longer but i m still glad that i never gave up and did as long as i could do. Thank you for this video. You are one lucky mama. ❤❤❤

  10. Trank you for that video! And thank you for stating the benefits. You’ve done some research so I don’t have to. I’m going to carry on breastfeeding for some time and feel good about it too. 😁 And you made me feel even better! Lots of love to you and your lovely family! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  11. For someone to tell you that if you breastfed your child after seven months it would only be for you that there's absolutely no benefit for your child is absolutely insane!!! Lol how in the world can ANYONE think that!? Obviously breast milk is the very best thing for your baby/toddler!!!! I always say going past two to three is overdoing it but to each their own right!!! Every mom has the RIGHT to choose the way they want to feed their child!!!! You're amazing!!! Yes girl breasts ARE for nourishing our babies!!!! Yes they have been sexualized and I regret saying this but when I had my first child at almost 20 years old NO ONE encouraged me to breastfeed and I thought it Was "weird" and I felt so uncomfortable because I looked at my breast as a sexual part of my body so I didn't even TRY it with my fist born and I regret it to this day! And she is thirteen!!!! I got mastitis as well about three weeks after she was born and the hospital didn't even recommend pumping my breasts they stuck me on antibiotics and dried my milk up so even if I had changed my ,I don't I couldn't have breastfed my baby girl 🙁 so my son came along two years later and I was hell bent on breastfeeding! I only made it about two months 🙁 I could not produce enough milk for the life of me and two years later I had my third and last baby and I got about four to five months with her!! Again my supply was limited! I tried everything to increase my milk supply but nothing helped so I would still breastfeed her at night for the bonding experience but that's about all I could give her so I stopped exclusively breastfeeding when she was four months old but I still got the night time feed with her for another two to three months so that made me feel better 🙂 but anyway yes !! You give your baby your breast milk as long as YOU see fit!!! They are YOUR children!

  12. Thank You so much for this video! My daughter ist almost 11 Months and I just can't imagine to stop the breastfeeding now. I would have never thought, that I would breastfeed longer than 6 Months, but it just felt right to do it longer than that. Still there are some negative Comments even from my friends. I breatsfeed her at the evenigs before I take her to bed, 1x at night when she wakes up and at the morning. It feels right and thank's to Your video I feel much more confident about it. The Plan is to feed her till she's turned 18 Months.
And I just want to mention, You look absolutely stunning, such a beautiful and glowing Mom!

  13. Totally YES, Emily! I was breastfeeding my first child until I got pregnant and it hurt badly. He was 23 months and it was sooo painful for both of us. After giving birth to my second child, we started once again and he was so helpful those first weeks. Helpful and we were both happy! He’s turning 3 years next week and my second baby is turning 6 months. They are both growing healthy and it has also helped them bond and cope with the new family member.

  14. Love this! I plan to breastfeed as long as feels right. I’d go to 4 years old if it seemed right for us still. Definitely doing extended.
It truly is a secret weapon!
And I think it’s so great that you didn’t listen to health visitors saying there was no nutrition.
I was told by one to switch to solids at 4 months. It’s a common opinion in the states. I knew that wasn’t right and have carried on. Only now introducing some solids at 6.5 months and my baby is chunky and thriving!!
    Always love your videos ❤️❤️❤️

  15. Yet another great video, Emily. I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately the society is not tolerant to leave the decision to mothers and people are always ready to comment or give advice. People like you help other women to feel supported and confident in their choice. And yes, breastfeeding is super convenient! xo

  16. I thought that doctors recommend continuing breastfeeding until 2 or 2.5 years old. My baby is 10.5months now and i hope that i can do that until he is 2 yrs. Btw, when did you start to introduce cow milk to him?

  17. I’m so glad you made this video, I’m still breastfeeding my daughter who is 22 months!
Why would someone leave such negative comments!
It’s natural… so many moms breastfeed for even longer!
And thank you for recommending Katie’s Channel! I just subscribed to her!
She seems so sweet & down to earth!

  18. Oh emily don't worry any wat people say bcoz am a mother of a toddler n it is very unfortunate that I breastfeed my baby until 3 months… it's very unfortunate bcoz I did not have enough milk to breastfeed my baby n I had to give her more bottle feed so she stopped breastfeeding n liked more her bottles

  19. Thank you for this video Emily. I’m still breastfeeding my son at 16 months and I too am getting comments like he’s too big, when are you stopping etc. I never preach or question others on their parenting yet they feel it’s ok to do so to me drives me mad xx

  20. I'm a new mom who suffered with low milk supply and decided to quit. After ur breastfeeding videos and some other breastfeeding videos i again started breastfeeding my baby. Now successfully breastfeeding my 5 and a half month old boy. I thought I'll not have milk more than 3 months. By God's grace successfully breastfeeding. Ur breastfeeding videos are motivational. Thank you EM… ❤
