What to Expect at Apple’s October 30th Event!


While Apple introduced iPhones back in September, there are still a number of products that the company is planning to refresh before the end of the year, necessitating a second fall 2018 event, set to be held on Tuesday, October 30 in New York City.

Apple’s October event will focus on the iPad and the Mac, and below, we’ve rounded up everything we expect to see along with a few other products that might possibly make an appearance at the keynote.

  1. 8th/9th gen core processor for iMac. I really need that HEVC/VP 9 encoding upgrade. Current kaby lake is actually slow than my new MacBook Pro in terms of HEVC encoding. And HDR display would be nice to have as well.

  2. I’m looking forward to iPad Pro with Face ID and I’m not too sure about this but if iPad had USB C iPhone maybe able to charge using lightning to USB C just wait and see I guess I’ll be trying this when it’s released

  3. I can never seem to fit a tablet into my life with Smartphones being fairly big these days and laptops being relatively small and light. I've owned an iPad, iPad mini and then a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact but hardly used any of them so I stopped buying tablets.

  4. You are wrong about the smart connector as the iPad is used like a laptop when connected to the Smart Keyboard. Apple has solved the issue of Face ID working in landscape so no concern there either. In any we will know by Tuesday what to expect.
